PianoFight presents the world-premiere meta-musical comedy, The Line, a story of three friends who draw lines, cross them, and learn they can never go back.

The Line focuses on Mark and Clint, childhood buddies with a life together in music, and Mark's girlfriend, Stacey, a music teacher with more sense and talent than either of them. When Clint comes over one night to medicate and eradicate a recently ended relationship, he and Mark start sketching out a musical to salve the wounds. As the meta-musical unfolds in front of them, their secrets surface, and the three friends must confront their shared history. In sex, drugs, and a 9/8 beat, where do you draw The Line?

The book and lyrics for The Line are by Kevin Causey (a long time actor, director, and producer, former Executive Director of Historic Elitch Theatre and currently President of Saint Francis Foundation), music by Claire Phillips (renowned jazz musician and composer, faculty member of Oakland School for the Arts), directed by Chris Smith (former Artistic Director of Magic Theater, award-winning director with credits all over America), and music directed by Matt Grandy (The Damn Fanatics, PFMD). The cast features Robin Gabrielli, Kevin Glass, James Grady, Lizzie O'Hara and Derricka Smith.

With book and lyrics by Kevin Causey, music by Claire Phillips, and directed by Chris Smith, The Line runs August 25 through September 3, Thursdays and Fridays at 7pm and Saturdays at 4pm and 7pm at PianoFight. 144 Taylor Street, San Francisco. Tickets are $30 - $40 and be purchased at www.pianofight.com
