MAINSTAGE:
Aliens with Extraordinary Skills by Saviana Stanescu

Aliens with Extraordinary Skills follows the immigration of Nadia, the beautiful and naive clown. Coming from the "unhappiest country in the world" to the bright lights of New York City, we follow Nadia as she attempts to adjust to her new surroundings while fleeing from suspecting immigration agents and imminent deportation. But, Nadia is not alone in her journey, and is often given aid by Borat, her cab-driving, wild and crazy clowning partner, her Latina roommate, Lupita, an exotic dancer and aspiring actress, and Bob, an all-American musician trying to find himself. Based on true tales of immigration, Aliens with Extraordinary Skills explores the idea that –regardless of our passports and native languages - we are all "aliens" in search for love, understanding and a place called home.

Aliens With Extraordinary Skills is the fifth show of B Street's 2011-2012 Mainstage Season.

B3 SERIES:
Water Falling Down by Mark Swivel?American Premiere
Water Falling Down explores the great gulf that can exist between family generations. The father in this touching journey is grieving his recently-lost wife and slowly sliding into aphasia, an affliction which causes him to forget words. His son, a divorced, middle-aged man, struggles to relate to both his father and his own teenage boy.
To retrace the steps of the father and his late wife, the father and son escape to Europe. Among the landmarks and the reminders of the past, they find a way of reconnecting while remembering their wife and mother and learning how to take care of one another.
This delightful new play is written by Australian playwright Mark Swivel and will have its American Premiere at B Street Theatre. Based on Swivel's own life experiences, it explores the love between father and son as deeply as it does a love for language, and the fear of losing our words.

The Giver is set in a future "utopian" society and follows the journey of Jonas through his twelfth year of life. During this year, Jonas is selected to be the "Receiver"; he stores all the memories of the time before "Sameness", a plan for society which has also eradicated pain, strife and HYPERLINK "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotion" o "Emotion" emotional depth from their lives. When Jonas meets the previous receiver-the "Giver"-he discovers the power of knowledge. Jonas must face living a shallow life without love, color, music and knowledge or running away where he can live a full life, but on his own.
