Santa Cruz Shakespeare's production of Measure for Measure delves into the nature of authority and the experience of being governed. Drawing inspiration from contemporary Eastern Europe, subversive music, urban tension, and a deep look into the politics of female sexuality, this performance explodes with the inherent legal, moral, and sexual ambiguities of our age.
In the city of Vienna where a temporary leader, Angelo, strictly enforces laws against sexual activity.
