Park City Institute launches its ultimate Eccles Center Seat Campaign, giving supporters an opportunity to name a seat in the theater while becoming a member of the "Illuminated Institute Insiders" circle. All funds raised by the "If This Chair Could Talk" campaign will be matched up to $1 million by an anonymous donor. For information on how to donate to the seat campaign, please call Jaimie at 435-655-3114 or visit EcclesCenter.org.

"We are honored to have received such a remarkable gift with extraordinary potential for our organization," says PCI executive director Teri Orr. "Funds generated though this campaign and related efforts will give a tremendous boost to the capacity of our growing organization - and provide an umbrella of sorts when those rainy days strike. This level of support is performance changing and we are deeply grateful."

Of the 1,269 seats in The Eccles Center, 900 are yet to be "purchased" for naming rights and "Illuminated Institute Insiders" privileges.

For a one-time donation of $500 (or $1,000 in the theater's less-than-20 remaining seats in the first nine rows), supporters of Park City Institute receive the following benefits: a message or name on a seat plaque; two tickets for an Eccles Center 2014-2015 Main Stage performance (excluding New Year's Eve); one year PCI membership; Illuminated Institute Insiders circle privileges, including an invitation to a free, Illuminated Institute Insiders performance and reception. Patrons who have purchased seats in past campaigns will automatically be "grand-mothered in" to current seat campaign benefits.

"Your plaque will be on a seat in the theater for as long as the theater exists and you will forever be a part of our Illuminated Institute Insider circle. Unlike other theaters, each seat can only be 'purchased' once. We won't re-sell the seat naming rights and all the perks that accompany those plaques," explains Orr.

So, just what do The Eccles Center seats have to say?

If these chairs could talk, they would tell stories of music and dance and theater and film: 263 performing arts productions; 884 Sundance Film Festival Screenings (143 Sundance Film Festival World Premieres); 189 Student Outreach events; 949 School-based activities; 7 TEDx events; 16 Christmas Eve services. ... infinite moments of wonder, magic, laughter, inspiration and community

"The arts give context to our lives," says Orr. "This seat campaign is a way for our new and sustaining supporters to double the impact of their donation and to elevate the arts and culture in our hometown."
