The Off Broadway Theatre (OBT) announces a new production by veteran playwright Eric R. Jensen, The Grouch Who Stole Christmas, opening Friday, November 25 and playing Mondays, Fridays, and Saturdays through December 26th at 7:30 p.m.

This new musical parody melds the classic "Grinch" Christmas tale of Dr. Suess with the beloved Sesame Street character who lives in a garbage can, bringing all their associated friends and companions to life on the stage, though with a bit of the OBT twist. A light-hearted comedy, The Grouch Who Stole Christmas shows how even the grouchiest of characters can find love and kindness during the most wonderful time of the year!

The play stars audience favorites Rusty Bringhurst as the Grouch, Clarence Strohn as the villainous Mr. Rod Shears, and Eric Jensen as Speedy McFeely. Mary Hallman and Hadley Nelson are double-cast as Susie Q.

Eric Jensen directs this production and created the puppet designs, with Wendy Dahl Smedshammer as assistant director.
