Midtown Men, Featuring Original JERSEY BOYS Cast Members, to Join Utah Symphony This Month

The high-octane musical tour de force that took Broadway by storm, The Midtown Men, perform their favorite Sixties hits with the Utah Symphony under the baton of Principal Pops Conductor Jerry Steichen. Performances run April 24 and 25 at 8 p.m. in Abravanel Hall. Hailed as "a talented and personable group of singers who present a fun and nostalgic evening of classic 60s music" by the "Maryland Theater Guide", The Midtown Men (Christian Hoff, Michael Longoria, Daniel Reichard, and J. Robert Spencer) joined together after their performances in the original cast of the Tony Award winning Broadway hit, "Jersey Boys."

Christian Hoff, won a Tony Award for his performance as Tommy DeVito in "Jersey Boys," as well as Drama Desk Award, Drama League Award, and Outer Critics Circle Award nominations. Hoff has performed extensively throughout America including roles in "The Rocky Horror Show", "Jesus Christ Superstar", and "The Who's Tommy" to name a few. He recorded Grammy Award Winning Cast Albums for both "Jersey Boys" and "The Who's Tommy" with famed Beatles producer George Martin. Hoff has also graced the stage in solo performances including repeat solo turns at Carnegie Hall.

Michael Longoria, best known for his star turn on Broadway as Frankie Valli in "Jersey Boys," joins his co-stars from the original cast. Longoria made his Broadway debut in the smash hit musical "Hairspray", later creating the role of Joey in the original Broadway cast of "Jersey Boys." He earned a Barrymore Award nomination for Best Actor as Chino in "West Side Story."

Daniel Reichard originated the role of chief songwriter and original Four Seasons member Bob Guadio in "Jersey Boys" both on Broadway and in the La Jolla Playhouse premiere. He followed "Jersey Boys" with a critically acclaimed performance as Candide in Leonard Bernstein's "Candide" at the New York City Opera. Reichard can also be seen as Frankie in the 2009 film version of the international hit musical comedy "Forever Plaid."

J. Robert Spencer is a Tony Award Nominated Actor, independent film director, producer, and writer. Spencer originated the role of Nick Massi in the Tony and Grammy Award winning musical "Jersey Boys." He was nominated for the Helen Hayes Award for Outstanding Lead Actor and nominated for a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for his role of Dan Goodman in "Next to Normal." Along with his extensive performing career, Spencer can be seen and heard in CD/DVD through Sony Masterworks where he has been nominated for multiple awards including a nomination for a Midwest Emmy Award.
