Kander and Ebb's 8-time Tony award-winning masterpiece has stood the test of time, including multiple Broadway revivals and tours as well as the film starring Liza Minelli, thanks in part to a beloved score with songs such as "Maybe this Time," "Willkommen" and "Cabaret." Presenting a world where nothing is as it seems yet entertaining to the last note, this dark, haunting musical drama remains as thoughtful and relevant today as ever.

Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome. Dark changes are taking place in 1930s Germany and the Kit Kat Club beckons all to cast cares aside and indulge in their basest desires. English ex-pat Sally Bowles, star of the cabaret, meets Cliff, a writer and fellow escapist. Their attempts to remain in the world of fantasy are fleeting as reality always eventually pays a visit, even to the cabaret.

Cabaret is directed by Trent Cox, music directed by Rick Rea, and choreographed by Talese Hunt.

The Ziegfeld Theater continues its fifth season in 2017 with a musical drama. Under the executive leadership of Caleb Parry and the artistic leadership of Rick Rea, the theater pursues a mission of "Professional Standard, Community Spirit" as it strives to bring quality entertainment to diverse audiences in Northern Utah.

The opening, cabaret-style gala and performance is Friday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m. Regular performances are 7:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday, adding a 2:00 p.m. Saturday matinee on June 17.
