White Plains Performing Arts Center (Jack W. Batman, Executive Producer) is pleased to present the Tony Award-winning Best Musical, A Little Night Music, by Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler. Under the direction of Sidney J. Burgoyne, with Music Direction by James Bassi and choreography by Melissa Rae Mahon and Sean McKnight, A Little Night Music features Tony Award nominees Penny Fuller as ‘Desiree' and Mark Jacoby as ‘Fredrick,' with Sheila Smith as ‘Madame Armfeldt,' Stephen R. Buntrock as ‘Count Carl-Magnus,' Rachel de Benedet as ‘Charlotte,' and Erin Davie as "Anne."

The cast also includes Laura D'Andre as ‘Petra,' Eleni Delopoulos as ‘Mrs. Segstrom,' Eddie Egan as ‘Henrik,' Katie Henney as ‘Fredrika,' Leah Jennings as ‘Mrs. Nordstrom,' Michael Markham as ‘Frid,' Jonathan Gabriel Michie as ‘Mr. Lindquist,' Christy Morton as ‘Mrs. Anderssen,' and Branch Woodman as ‘Mr. Erlanson.'

Performances begin March 5, 2009 for a limited engagement through March 22, 2009 at the White Plains Performing Arts Center (11 City Place, White Plains), Westchester's professional regional theatre, as part of the theatre's Bank of America Broadway Classics series. Opening Night is Friday, March 6, 2009.

The creative team for this new production of Sondheim and Wheeler's sophisticated musical in waltz time, suggested by Ingmar Bergman's "Smiles of a Summer Night," includes Michael Hotopp (sets), T. Michael Hall (costumes), Graham T. Posner (lighting), and Wallace Flores (sound). This production is produced by Jack W. Batman for the White Plains Performing Arts Center. Associate Producer is Bruce Robert Harris. The Production Stage Manager is Megan Schneid.

The original production of A Little Night Music with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and book by Hugh Wheeler, was produced and directed by Harold Prince. It played for 601 performances on Broadway and was the recipient of six 1973 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and the Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best Musical.

A Little Night Music will play the following performance schedule: Thursdays at 8:00 p.m., Fridays at 2:00 p.m. & 8:00 p.m., Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Please note: there is no 2:00 p.m. performance on March 6th. Tickets are $35.00-$52.00.
