The Wilbury Group Announces Changes in Leadership

The Wilbury Theatre Group announces changes to it's leadership with the addition of Laura Goldstein as Education Coordinator and Kate Kataja as Artistic Associate. In addition, The Wilbury Group's Education Director Seth Finkle assumes a new, expanded role with the group as Public Programs Director effective September 1.

To keep up with a growing demand of educational opportunities in school, The Wilbury Group has brought on experienced theater educator and administrator Laura Goldstein as Education Coordinator. In this position, Laura will oversee the Wilbury Group's in-school programming and after-school partnerships with existing partners while continuing the grow the Wilbury's existing program for children and youth.

The Wilbury Group's longtime Education Director Seth Finkle takes over an expanded role as Public Programs Director, where he will continue to oversee Adult Education classes, talkbacks, as well as continuing to develop The Wilbury Group's role as a leader in the community.

"Over the last three years Seth Finkle has created The Wilbury Group's Education program from scratch," says Wilbury's Founding Artistic Director Josh Short. "To now also have a talented and enthusiastic educator like Laura Goldstein overseeing our youth education programs I'm excited to see the program continue to grow as an exciting and important part of our organization."

In addition to the changes in the Education Department, Kate Kataja officially joins The Wilbury Group as Artistic Associate. A longtime collaborator and contributor to the Group, Kate's been an integral part of the artistic community from her first production (last season's This Beautiful City) to her work as Associate Director of this year's Providence Fringe Festival. As Artistic Associate, Kate will continue to contribute to the Wilbury Group's MainStage productions, while taking an even greater role in planning for 2016 FringePVD and developing new work on behalf of The Wilbury Group.

"In the last year Kate Kataja has proven herself an invaluable asset to our productions and the growth of the Fringe Festival," Short continues. "As Artistic Associate we look forward to continuing to work with her on expanding our programming from the MainStage, to the Fringe Festival, and beyond.
