Follow the yellow brick road to Bill Hanney's award-winning Theatre By The Sea (TBTS) for THE WIZARD OF OZ,. This twister of a tale begins Wednesday July 20 through Saturday, August 13. Press night is scheduled for Friday, July 22 at 8p.m.

"Our production of The Wizard of Oz will be the perfect way to continue this fantastic summer we are having at Theatre By The Sea," said TBTS owner and producer Bill Hanney. "Following our acclaimed record-breaking productions of West Side Story and Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story, I am happy to say that we are anticipating many sold out performances for this show as well. Both the young and the young-at-heart will want to enjoy this show together and make some memories to last a lifetime!"

There truly is no place like home as THE WIZARD OF OZ, the greatest family musical of all time, lands on the stage of North Shore Music Theatre. You will be swept away by our celebration of the iconic 1939 MGM film. The entire family will be captivated as they travel down the Yellow Brick Road and beyond with Dorothy, Toto and their friends the Cowardly Lion, Tinman and Scarecrow in this lavish production, featuring magical special effects, dazzling choreography and the classic songs you love, including "Over the Rainbow," "If I Only Had a Brain," "We're Off to See the Wizard," and more.

The cast of THE WIZARD OF OZ will feature Devon Perry (Dorothy), Stephen Petrovich (Hunk/Scarecrow), Danny Rothman (Hickory/Tinman), Richard E. Waits (Zeke/Cowardly Lion), Maria Day (Almira Gultch/Wicked Witch of the West), Rochelle Smith (Glinda, Dog Handler), Tom Gleadow (Prof Marvel/Wizard of Oz), Barbara McElroy (Aunt Em), and Tom Roberts (Uncle Henry/Winkie General), and Dusty and Nessa as Toto.

The ensemble includes Annabella Barks, Colin Shea Denniston , Danielle Marie Gonzalez-Quevedo, Nicolette Hernandez, Karma Jenkins, Cody Knable, Tyler John Logan, Katie Lombardo, Davis Wayne, and Josh Zacher .

Many local children will be featured in THE WIZARD OF OZ as The Munchkins including Calista Aguinaldo, Ian Gordon Argo, Victoria Cardi, Isabella Cardi, Brigid Fitzgerald, Catalina Grandchamp, Althea Grandchamp, Ella LaFrenier, Declan McCaffrey, Kate Rocchio, Lennon Schroeder, Emma Senerchia, Eva Senerchia, and Henry Siravo

The creative team for THE WIZARD OF OZ is led by director Billy Sprague Jr. (Director) and Marc Kimelman (Choreographer). The team also includes Esther Zabinski (Music Direction), Kyle Dixon (Scenic Design), David Costa-Cabral (Director of Costumes), Jose Santiago (Lighting Design), Danny Erdberg (Sound Design), Michael Dates (Wig & Hair Design), Stephanie Harrop (Makeup Design), William Berloni (Animal Trainer), ZFX, Inc (Flying Effects), Kate Ferdinand (Production Stage Manager), and Elizabeth Salisch (Assistant Stage Manager). THE WIZARD OF OZ is produced for Theatre By The Sea by Bill Hanney (Owner/Producer), Kevin P. Hill (Producing Artistic Director), and Thom Warren (Associate Producer).

THE WIZARD OF OZ plays July 20 - August 13, 2016. Tickets are $47, $57, & $67. Once again, Theatre By The Sea's notorious Late Night Cabaret will be performed by the cast and staff following every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening show. The cabaret is performed by the cast and theatre staff at Bistro By The Sea, the onsite restaurant at Theatre By The Sea. There is no cabaret on the first weekend of each show.

The 2016 Summer Musical Season will conclude with Sister Act (August 17 - September 4). The popular Friday morning Children's Festival includes Snow White (July 8), Lucky Bob (July 15), Disney's Alice In Wonderland Jr. (July 29), Aladdin (August 5), and Keith Michael Johnson's Bubbleology (August 12). All shows at 10am & 12 Noon and all tickets are $12.
