The Contemporary Theater Company is known for its focus on the community and local talent. Now they invite the community to propose new projects for the 2017 Springboard Season.

Community members and artists can propose any performance-based project to lead in the theater's 5th Annual Springboard Season, running January - March 2017. Past projects have included staged readings of new plays written by local playwrights, full productions, children's shows, concerts, story slams, and improvised fairy tales.

The Springboard Season promotes The Contemporary Theater Company's goal of facilitating new, exciting work by local artists and bringing the arts to the community. This unique season allows artists to show their work to an audience and get feedback on pieces that they are developing.

"As a theater-maker, the opportunity to take risks and try something new is difficult to come by," says Communications Director Maggie Cady. "We encourage people to do projects that they are passionate about!"

The application is online and available to everyone. Applications are due by October 9, 2016.
