Academy Players of RI are presenting the musical, SINGIN' IN THE RAIN JR. from March 31-April 9, 2017.

Based on the 1952 movie of the same name, Singin' In The Rain JR. takes place in Hollywood during the last days of the silent movie era. The story follows Don Lockwood, one half of the blockbuster celebrity silent movie star "couple" Lockwood and Lamont, and the extreme measures taken when his co-star's high-pitched and nasal voice threatens the duo's successful transition into talking pictures.

Performing Friday, March 31 through Sunday, April 9, 2017. The Academy Players cast features 30+ young actors from Rhode Island and nearby Massachusetts. The performance is held at the Q2Q Blackbox Theatre in Providence.

Direction and choreography by Rita Maron and vocal direction by 16 year old Megan Mahoney, of Cranston, RI.
