Portland State University College of the Arts and School of Theater + Film present Moliere's THE MISANTHROPE, directed by Richard Wattenberg at Lincoln Performance Hall, 1620 SW Park Ave Portland, Oregon from tonight, May 14-30, 2015.

Genius French humorist Moliere is at his comedic best in his 1666 masterpiece The Misanthrope. In the elegant and effervescent translation by American poet Richard Wilbur, this sparkling commentary on manners still has as much satiric bite and relevancy as it did in the 17th century. In his delightfully playful manner, Moliere asks us how honest we can be with each other? How honest should we be? Is a little deceit always bad? Come join us for an evening of thought-provoking fun and for the debut of several new student designers.

Low Cost Preview: May 14 at 7:30 p.m. Evening Performances: May 15-16, 20-23, 27-30 at 7:30 PM. Matinee: Sunday, May 17 & 24 at 2:00 PM.
