Conservatory Theatre Company closes season with DARK OF THE MOON, 4/13-22
Point Park University's Conservatory Theatre Company will close its season with Dark of the Moon, by HoWard Richardson and William Berney, April 13 – 22, 2012 at the Pittsburgh Playhouse. In the mysticAl Hills and hollow of the backwoods, a witch boy, John, falls in love with the beautiful mortal, Barbara. He longs to be human and spend his life with her, so he makes a pact that will threaten their love and their very lives. Their extremely different worlds - the supernatural existence known by Jack and the god-fearing mountain folk who surround Barbara - clash in a dramatic, powerful way, making Dark of the Moon one of the most haunting, tragic tales ever to grace The Playhouse stage, press notes state.
Dark of the Moon runs from April 13 – 22, Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2 p.m.; a preview performance is open to the public on Thursday, April 12.
