Theater Works is proud to host the Arizona Senior Follies as they present "Music, Music, Music." This concert will benefit Eve's Place, which is a local center for victims of domestic violence. The variety show will be an exciting evening of singing, dancing and comedy and is sponsored by the Cameo Foundation and Ms. Senior Arizona Organization. Join Theater Works on November 19th at 7 p.m. for a spectacular evening with the Arizona Senior Follies. This talented and worthy event will include a glass of wine and wonderful entertainment all benefiting a good cause. Tickets are only $29 and 100% of the proceeds will go directly to Eve's Place to help the women and children in their shelters.

Danny Davis of KOY-AM radio will be the master of ceremonies of the two hour performance and the concert will also feature the current Ms. Senior Arizona and six former Ms. Senior Arizonas'. The proceeds will help pay for new shoes and clothing for the first day of a new job, bus fare back to family or deposits to get their own apartment. The fundraising gives Eve's Place that extra money to help with gas or car repairs.

Eve's Place is 5.5 years old and has 38 emergency crisis beds that serve women, men and children who are victims of domestic violence. Women and children are able to stay in a safe house while the male victims and their children are housed in hotels or other off site locations. Services are the same for both men and women once shelter is provided. The victims of domestic violence receive services such as case management, goal setting, safety planning, transportation, job readiness, support groups and assistance with long term housing. They are able to stay up to 120 days once they are accepted into the program.

Children receive their own individualized services as well. They do safety planning, goal setting, support groups, field trips and assistance with getting into school, tutoring and bonding exercises with their parent. The children's program has a full time staff person and volunteers that provide support services. Children are able to continue going to school, sometimes in their original school, but more often in one of the schools within walking distance of our safe house.

Tickets are now on sale both online at theaterworks.org and at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts. The Box Office is open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily and may be reached at 623-815-7930.
