Ladies and Gentlemen, Niños y Niñas! Teatro Bravo, Phoenix's premiere Latino theatre company is proud to present a sneak peek of their must see touring performance of The Carpa Plays, a collection of short bi-lingual plays in the style of Mexican and American Vaudeville but with a Chicano twist.

Travelling from town to town in search for a place of peace and performance, The Bravo Players are a motley crew of theatre performers just trying to make a living as artists in Arizona. Lead by their egotistical show owner, El Chavo, The Bravo Players are set out to bring to you, the audience, the greatest show in Arizona, one play at a time. The Carpa Plays is a step into our historical past and honors a style of performance that continues to speak to audiences in Arizona today. Filled with comedy, song and dance, The Carpa Plays are sure to be a treat for audiences of all ages.

THE CARPA PLAYS will be performed on July 11th at 7pm at The Phoenix Center for the Arts, 1202 N. 3rd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85004 and July 18th at 4pm at Theatre Works at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts, 8355 W. Peoria Ave, Peoria, AZ 85345. (A free workshop to follow the performance at 6:00pm with the cast. Participants must RSVP for the workshop. Space is limited. All information on the workshop can be found at www.teatrobravo.org.) All performances are $7. Tickets can be purchased in advanced at www.teatrobravo.org or at the door on the day of the performance.
