Mesa Arts Center is proud to welcome the George Benson Tribute to Nat King Cole with The Phoenix Symphony on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013 in the Ikeda Theater at 8 p.m. This elegant and beautiful orchestra show is a wonderful tribute to Nat King Cole and is now in its fourth year of touring. Garnering an overwhelming response worldwide, stemming from his performances at Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, with the National Symphony Orchestra at Kennedy Center, and with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, George Benson's orchestra and choruses have been delighting audiences everywhere. George Benson, who is considered one of the most respected guitarists and talented vocal stylists of our time, creates a beautiful and unforgettable experience when he combines with the gorgeous orchestral arrangements of the legendary Nat King Cole.

The touring presentation features George Benson, his touring band, plus The Phoenix Symphony and chorus. Together they recapture the music created by Nat King Cole and share it with brand new audiences. George Benson's personal hits for which he is well known are also included in the performance. The Sounds of Jazz praised the show, "Benson delivered Cole's greatest hits with precision and innovation."
