Arizona Theatre Company is pleased to announce the election of Dr. Mary Jo Ghory and Dina Scalone-Romero to its Board of Trustees on December 15, 2010. Arlene Webster was elected as an Honorary Trustee at the same meeting.

Dr. Mary Jo Ghory rejoins the Board having previously served as a Trustee from 2001 through 2007. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Arizona. She has been a subscriber since 1989 and had chaired the committee for the fashion show fundraiser, "Dudes, Dolls and Divas" for two years. Dr Ghory has been a Production Underwriter of The Lady with all the Answers, Jitney and To Kill a Mockingbird and this season she will underwrite a student matinee of Lost in Yonkers. At ATC's Gala last October, Dr. Ghory was honored with a Georgy Award for all of her contributions to Arizona Theatre Company and the Tucson arts community.

Dina Scalone-Romero is a New York native who worked with FEMA in the aftermath of the September 11th terrorist attacks and led the distribution of the United Way's 9/11 fund to victims in the borough of Brooklyn. She oversaw efforts to provide services and compensation to 5,000 residents impacted by the 9/11 attacks as a director for Safe Horizon. In 2004 Dina became Managing Director of Stages of Learning, an organization dedicated to establishing theatre as a measure of literacy in New York schools. She recently moved to Tucson and is currently the Community Relations Manager for Cox Communications.

Arlene Webster currently works at Tucson Medical Center as a Registered Nurse in their Ambulatory Surgery Center. She has been involved in the theatre community for close to forty years and has previously served on the Board of Arizona Theatre Company for over twenty years. She currently also serves on the Board of the Tucson Medical Center Foundation, and in the past has been involved in the Junior League of Tucson and worked with the Tucson Botanical Gardens on their annual Butterfly Gala.

Board members are elected to three year terms and may serve two consecutive terms before taking at least a year hiatus from the Board.
