Due to overwhelming demand at the box office, an additional performance of Hank Williams: LOST HIGHWAY, starring Robbie Limon, has been added on June 9 , 2011 at 2:30pm. Hank Williams: Lost Highway follows Williams' rise from his beginnings on the Louisiana Hayride to his triumphs on the Grand Ole Opry to his eventual self-destruction at twenty-nine. Along the way, audiences are treated to unforgettable songs like "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry," "Move It on Over" and Hey, Good Lookin'," which are given fresh and profound resonance set in the context of Williams' life.

Robbie Limon of Middletown, VA will take on the familiar role of the unconventional Williams in The Playhouse's production.l Limon is an independent, award-winning recording artist, who tours the Northern, VA/DC area with his own tribute to Hank Williams, Lovesick Blues, as well as a tribute show to Buddy Holly.

Playhouse Artistic Director, Ray Ficca chose the show with Limon specifically in mind. "Robbie has extraordinary, almost mystifying ability to recreate William's tonal quality and phrasing. If you close your eyes during his (Limon's) shows you would sear Hank himself was up on the stage."

Hank Williams: Lost Highway by Randal Myler and Mark Harelik opens May 28, 2011 and runs for 19 performances through June 12, 2011. Essis & Sons Carpet One and Walker, Connor & Spang, LLC are guest sponsors.
