From October 8th to November 6th, Open Stage of Harrisburg will present the Pennsylvania premiere of the original Broadway musical [title of show], the story of two struggling young writers writing a witty new musical about two struggling young writers writing a witty new musical.

In [title of show] Jeff Bowen (Music & Lyrics) and Hunter Bell (Book) decide to write an original work for a musical theatre competition even though the deadline is a mere three weeks away.  [title of show]-taken from the space on the festival's application form which asks for the "[title of show]"-chronicles the evolution of Jeff and Hunter's original musical. With the help of their friends Susan, Heidi and Larry on the eighty-eights, Jeff and Hunter create [title of show], win the New York Musical Theatre Festival, open and close a successful Off-Broadway run, and debut their show on Broadway. All in just 90 minutes.

For his book for [title of show], Hunter Bell earned an Obie Award, a Drama League
nomination, and a 2009 Tony nomination for Best Book of a Musical. Jeff Bowen also won an Obie Award for his work on [title of show].  Hunter and Jeff are also well-known as the creators of the popular web series "the [title of show] show" (https://www.youtube.com/user/titleofshow).

Stuart Landon and Michael Zorger will play Hunter and Jeff in the Open Stage of Harrisburg production, which will also feature Trish Baillie as Susan and Dorea Schmidt as Heidi. Open Stage of Harrisburg Founder and Executive Artistic Director Don Alsedek will helm this production. Music Director Tony Leukus (who also plays the role of Larry) and Choreographer Paige Pavlishin round out the creative team. The design team includes Jim Woland (Set), Gwen Alsedek (Costumes), Nick Marino (Lighting) and Mike Banks (Sound).
