New Hope, PA's original Rocky Horror production returns to town for 3 performances beginning Friday, October 25 when Lambertville's, Downtown Performing Arts Center performs its annual production of The Rocky Horror Show at the New Hope Arts Center. Performances are Friday, October 25 at 9 pm and Saturday, October 26 at 9 pm and midnight (11:59 pm.) Tickets are $20 online and $22 at the door. The New Hope Arts Center seats 130 and purchasing tickets in advance is highly suggested.
On a dark and stormy night, Brad Majors and Janet Weiss find themselves lost and with a flat tire. Their only choice for help is to knock on the door of a nearby castle where they find Dr. Frank N. Furter and a group of strange characters holding their annual Transylvanian convention. The ensemble includes his servants Riff Raff and Magenta and a groupie named Columbia. The highlight of the evening is the introduction of Frank's ultimate creation, the muscular, Rocky, who seems to be the object of everyone's affection. The question: Will Brad and Janet be able to escape the clutches of Dr. Frank or will they become his play things like the rest of his zany crew?The Rocky Horror Show has garnered a huge cult following in the region due to annual performances in New Hope, PA. Many of the actors and actresses who made those performances such a success over the past decade. reprise their roles in this production.Louis Palena will again play Dr. Frank N. Furter and Jill Palena will repeat her role of Janet Weiss. Lambertville, New Jersey's very own husband and wife acting team, David and Jenny Whiteman take on the roles of Dr. Scott and Eddie while New Hope, PA resident Lewis Matheney returns as Rocky. This production is an audience participation show with the audience encouraged to dress up as their favorite characters and respond to the performance as it happens.
