NBC has just released an all-new promo for HAIRSPRAY LIVE! featuring Kristin Chenoweth performing the show-stopping number 'Miss Baltimore Crabs.'

HAIRSPRAY LIVE!'s Harvey Fierstein and Derek Hough give Facebook fans a tour of Derek McLane's colorful set, which features various shops named in tribute to the talented people who have been involved in HAIRSPRAY throughout the decades.

What the world needs now is Jennifer Hudson singing 'I Know Where I've Been,' and with this new promo featuring the Oscar winner, audiences can get a preview dose of the powerful anthem-check out the video below!

NBC's HAIRSPRAY LIVE will air Wednesday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. ET/PT and will originate from Los Angeles. The all-star cast includes Harvey Fierstein as Edna Turnblad, Jennifer Hudson as Motormouth Mabel, Martin Short as Wilbur Turnblad, Derek Hough as Corny Collins, Ariana Grandeas Penny Pingleton, Andrea Martin as Prudy Pingleton and Kristin Chenoweth as Velma Von Tussle. Rosie O'Donnell and Sean Hayes will also make special appearances in the broadcast.

On this morning's TODAY it was announced that newcomer Maddie Baillio has been cast as teenager Tracy Turnblad in NBC's HAIRSPRAY LIVE. Harvey Fierstein, who will reprise his Tony Award-winning role as Edna Turnblad, introduced his fictional daughter and shared that he is currently working on the script which he says may be a little different than the film and stage version of the show. Second Stage Theatre will soon present the New York premiere production of SMART PEOPLE, the new play by LYDIA R. DIAMOND (Stick Fly), directed by Tony® Award winner KENNY LEON (A Raisin in the Sun, The Wiz Live!).
