Broadway World's own Richard Ridge takes us to the opening night of the Broadway run of his landmark musical In the Heights, where Lin told Ridge, why the musical touches such a diverse audience of every age. 'Tonight, I feel a real sense of accomplishment. I think the immigrant and universal things that happen are, we do the jobs that no one else wants to do. Our parents sacrifice and they do things that they don't want to do, so we can do better than they did. I think everyone responds to that and it strikes a universal chord.'

Transport Group just presented Man of La Mancha - its first musical in this season's Anne L. Bernstein Concert Series. The world premiere of BENNY & JOON will run at The Old Globe Theatre through October 22. Based on the 1993 movie of the same name with a screenplay by Barry Berman and Lesley McNeil, BENNY & JOON follows the story of auto mechanic Benny, who is the only care taker of his eccentric sister Joon. Things become complicated when Sam, with his own take on the world, steps into the picture and turns everything upside down. BENNY & JOON explores what happens when you step outside of what you know, and take the leap toward love.

ONCE UPON A MATTRESS' 'Prince Dauntless,' Jason Williams, is a new papa! His daughter Mara Eleanor Williams was born on December 28, and fellow cast member Jackie Hoffman welcomed her into the kingdom in style. Check out the video below!
