Following a young African-American dancer, Viveca, from West Coast suburbia to Broadway, all the while navigating the politics of race and gender in an attempt to uncover her own identity, The Bubbly Black Girl Sheds Her Chameleon Skin is directed by Robert O'Hara with choreography by Byron Easley and music direction by Annastasia Victory.

Next up in the Encores! season is Do I Hear a Waltz?, the romantic, rarely-seen 1965 musical that marked the only collaboration of Richard Rodgers and Stephen Sondheim. Do I Hear a Waltz? will star Claybourne Elder, Melissa Errico, Sarah Hunt, Zachary Infante, Cass Morgan, Richard Poe, Michael Rosen, Sarah Stiles, and Richard Troxell. The ensemble includes Kristine Bendul, Paloma Garcia-Lee, Jenny Laroche, Jennifer Locke, Nathan Madden, Skye Mattox, Devin Roberts, Manny Stark, and Alex Wong.

NEWSIES star Andrew Keenan-Bolger recently took the time to put together a music video for summer 2012, featuring some of his NEWSIES castmates and even some other Broadway veterans. Keenan-Bolger writes: 'I brought my camera along whenever I was hanging out with my friends this summer. I decided to compile the footage together in an unofficial video for my favorite song of the summer, '1904' by The Tallest Man On Earth.'

NEWSIES has been playing now for several months the Nederlander Theatre, and by now the cast has lots of backstage rituals that go on before performances. In the video below, check out where they stretch, do vocal warm-ups, and more!

Newsies, the new American musical, began performances last week, March 15, at Broadway's Nederlander Theatre (208 W 41st St) for a limited run. Kicking off their limited run, the Broadway company of Newsies made their national television debut this morning when they perform 'Seize The Day' and 'Santa Fe' on ABC's 'Good Morning America.' Waves of good and bad news washed over tonight's 'So You Think You Can Dance' as host Cat Deeley and the show basked in the glow of the eight Emmy nominations that were announced earlier today. However, there were several gray clouds hovering about as two more dancers were sent home and, for the first time this season, the eliminated dancers were not part of the same pair. Another bit of sad news came when Judge/Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe announced early in the show that Season 7 fan favorite Alex Wong, who had to step out of competition last year due to a tendon injury on his right foot, suffered another tendon injury (this time on his left foot) this past weekend and would not be able to return to the show as an All-Star next week.
