Eight-year-old Iain recently starred in HBO's BIG LITTLE LIES and has appeared on NBC's LAW & ORDER: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT and the Steve Harvey-hosted kids competition show LITTLE BIG SHOTS. Of course theater fans know him best for his adorable reviews of Broadway shows. Parsons most recently appeared on Broadway in 2015's AN ACT OF GOD. At today's CBS Upfront presentation, it was announced that the BIG BANG THEORY spin off YOUNG SHELDON, starring Iain Armitage, will have a special Monday launch behind the Season Premiere of THE BIG BANG THEORY on September 25th.

CBS today announced the series order of YOUNG SHELDON, a new half-hour, single-camera comedy for broadcast in the 2017-2018 season.

Everyone's favorite Broadway critic, Iain Armitage will portray the childhood version of Sheldon Cooper in CBS's upcoming BIG BANG THEORY spin off series titled SHELDON. The show will follow Sheldon as a youth growing up in Texas.
