Austin Shakespeare to Host Off Weekly Reading Group SHAKESPEARE ALOUD on Sundays

Austin Shakespeare invites anyone interested to join 'Shakespeare Aloud' where on Sunday afternoons, we read each Shakespeare play in its entirety aloud (approximately one act each week) and stop often to talk about the images, the characters, the story--whatever that day's group finds interesting. Every session's diverse backgrounds make for lively discussion as the group mines each scene for all its gold. This is a cold reading, no preparation is expected. Please bring your own copy of the play.

Kaleidoscope Theatre Montreal will present their third production, the Canadian premiere of Jenny Lyn Bader's None of the Above, directed by Trevor Barrette and Michelle Lewis. The company's two successful past productions of the classic plays, Sophocles' Antigone and William Shakespeare's The Tempest, were presented at the Casgrain Studio Theatre in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue. They are very excited to be making their work more accessible by bringing None of the Above to Montreal's MainLine Theatre from November 26th to the 30th. The show features a soundtrack created by Montreal musicians.

A visually splendorous stateside transfer of a recent production of William Shakespeare's classic comedy A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM created by noted WAR HORSE theatrical collaborators Bristol Old Vic and Handspring Puppet Company, directed by Tom Morris, will be presented next year for a limited run at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. and tickets are now on sale.

Polarity will kick off its residency with the Polarity Greenhouse for Growth Fundraiser Saturday, November 16, 2013, followed by an innovative production of William Shakespeare's Macbeth, adapted and directed by Polarity's Artistic Director Richard Engling, January 30 through March 2, 2013. A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, continues their family holiday tradition by presenting its production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, the ultimate tale of forgiveness, opening Saturday, December 7 and closing Sunday, December 22, 2013. This is the second year that ANW has presented the timeless holiday classic, once again accompanied by a special fundraiser event, "Fezziwig's Festive Holiday Tea" on December 8, which directly supports Classics Live! - ANW's education programs.
