Part vaudeville, part Complete Works of William Shakespeare...Abridged, EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD is a fast, furious, and slightly irreverent look at the holiday classics and traditions we all remember. From Frosty to Rudolph and the Grinch to It's a Wonderful Life, no pop culture holiday icon is spared in this whirlwind of holiday merriment.
"Tired of delivering the same lines of Christmas drama year after year, a trio of actors revitalize the Christmas classics by blending them all together," explains director Holly Baker-Kreiswirth. "The result is hilarious - the perfect comedic escape from the stresses of the Holiday season. Ironically, it has become a Christmas classic in its own right!" Baker-Kreiswirth has produced Little Fish Theatre's much-beloved annual short play production, Pick of the Vine, for the past four years, and also directed one of the audience favorites this year, The Eiffel Truth. She also directed the StageSceneLA award-winning play Tryst at Little Fish in 2012.
EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD will run Fridays and Saturdays November 8 through December 14 at 8pm. Mid-week performances will be presented Wednesday December 4 and Thursday December 5 at 8pm. Sunday matinees are scheduled for 2pm on December 1 and 8, after which the creative team will be available for 10 to 15 minutes for post-show discussion with the audience.
Founded in 2002, Little Fish Theatre presents classic and contemporary plays in an intimate setting on Centre Street in downtown San Pedro. Producing eleven plays each year for a one-room 65-seat venue, Little Fish delivers the quintessential close-up theatrical experience, where audience and performers share space and sight-lines, making for eruptive laughter, highly-charged action and palpable emotion.
