Penguin Rep Theatre will present the world premiere of The Sabbath Girl, a new musical with book by Cary Gitter, lyrics by Neil Berg and Mr. Gitter, and music by Mr. Berg, beginning Friday, May 3, in Stony Point, New York.

The new original musical Senior Class will receive a AEA 29-hour industry reading beginning this week. Senior Class has a book, melodies, and lyrics written by Melvin Tunstall, III and music & arrangements by Greg Dean Borowsky and was conceived by Kevin Duda.

SuperYou was previously scheduled to open off-Broadway at the Daryl Roth Theatre today, May 27, but plans have been postponed. CAROLS FOR A CURE is the annual two-disc holiday CD compilation of original songs and holiday classics which benefits BC/EFA. These CDs boast the best voices from the worlds of Broadway, Off-Broadway and national tours. A full track list for this year's 14th edition has not yet been announced, but the cast of Broadway's MAMMA MIA! was already hard a work yesterday recording their track for the album. Produced by Adam Friedson and Left Feild Productions, this musical showcase is a preview to its premiere production at the Broward Center this upcoming spring. The showcase, part of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters conference, was directed by Richard Seyd.

First came Hair, then, Jesus Christ Superstar -- which led to Rent and Spring Awakening.
