The Clear Space Theatre Company is ready for opening night of the regional premiere of Avenue Q! Cast and members are polishing their performances and admiring the biceps they've developed from handling their puppets for the month-long rehearsal process, and the crew is busy with last-minute details on the sets, lights and costumes for tonight's opening.

The Clear Space Theatre Company is in rehearsal for their next production - the area premiere of Avenue Q. The show, which won the 2004 Tony award for Best Original Score and Best Musical, opens in Rehoboth Beach Friday, May 2, and plays through May 18. Avenue Q stars both human and puppet characters similar to those used on Sesame Street and The Muppets, but deals with adult themes such as finding a job, questioning your sexuality, wondering why you can't find a date, racism, the true reason for the internet and finding your purpose in life.

The casting of Sell a Door Theatre Company's Avenue Q has now been announced with a host of fresh young talent supporting the puppet stars of the Tony Award winning musical.

Just yesterday, AVENUE Q puppet Trekkie Monster (accompanied by actor Jason Jacoby) -- was honorary server at Schmackary's Bakery (362 W. 45 St.), serving cookies to patrons as part of the the Broadway League's annual KIDS NIGHT ON BROADWAY.
