Sharon Bush, Philanthropist & Founder/Chief Executive Officer of Teddy Share, Arianna Huffington, Chair, President & Editor-in-Chief of the Huffington Post Media Group, and Joan Vail Thorne, playwright and director, were Women's Project Theater's 2014 Women of Achievement, who were inducted at its 29th Annual Gala Celebration at the Mandarin Oriental, 80 Columbus Circle, on Monday, March 10. Veanne Cox and Doug Wamble lead a musical tribute to lyricist Dorothy Fields. Also on hand throughout the evening were presenters David Hyde Pierce and Stanley Zareff. Check out a look back below! Comcast to Invest $250,000 in Grants in Florida to Enhance Digital Learning; Company Also Extends Its National Broadband Adoption Program for Low-Income Families

Honoring the efforts of its community partners, Comcast has established a Gold Medal Recognition Program in which it is making more than $1 million in grants to dozens of non-profit partners in communities across the country that led the way in connecting families to home broadband through Internet Essentials. Florida communities will be receiving three of those grants totaling $250,000 for non-profit partners in Miami Dade, Palm Beach and Collier counties. (more...)

Kate Upton Helps Vanity Fair Celebrate 100 Years

Vanity Fair is celebrating turning 100 - well kind of. The magazine was called Dress & Vanity Fair when it first launched in 1913 but was put to sleep 20 years later. It stayed dead until 1983 when it was revived by S.I. Newhouse Jr., the chairman of Condé Nast. So tecnically speaking, the Vanity Fair we know today is 30 years old - but 100 sounds so much better! Arriving this week on newstands is Vanity Fair's centennial issue featuring Kate Upton, channeling Marilyn Monroe. The cover was shot by Annie Leibovitz. (more...)
