Vintage Theatre Productions announces 11 shows for the 2019 season. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. at Vintage Theatre, 1468 Dayton St. in Aurora. The Mountaineers Players continue their tradition of outdoor theater at the magical Kitsap Forest Theater with the new Broadway musical, Tuck Everlasting. For four weekends this summer (Saturday and Sunday at 2:00 pm) this popular show will come alive on our forest stage. Both residents of the Kitsap Peninsula and visitors from Seattle and beyond will delight in this family-friendly production at the beautiful Kitsap Forest Theater, located just west of Bremerton.

BroadwayWorld reported today that trailblazing dancer, director, and choreographer Dame Gillian Lynne has passed away. According to a tweet sent by her official Twitter account, she passed away tonight, July 1, at 6:20pm at the Princess Grace Hospital. Variety has reported that novelist, screenwriter, and Broadway book writer, Tim Federle, has been enlisted to pen the upcoming High School Musical TV series, currently in the works for Disney's new streaming service.

The final presentation of the recently expanded Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge, took place just last night. This year's Musical Theater Songwriting Challenge finalists included Eliza Corrington & Braxton Gerald Carr, Tucker Donelan, Jillian Guetersloh, Fritz Hager, Aaron Richert, and David Volpini.
