ZOMBIE To Be Screened At Atlanta Film Fest 9/16

ZOMBIE, the film based on the novella by famous best-selling author Joyce Carol Oates, and starring Bill Connington, will be screened at the Atlanta Horror Film Festival on September 16th at 6:30 pm, as part of Independent Film Month in Atlanta.

CAP 21 Theatre Company presents SOUTHERN COMFORT, a new musical by Dan Collins (book and lyrics) and Julianne Wick Davis (music), based on Kate Davis' 2001 Sundance award-winning documentary about transgender friends in rural Georgia. Jeffrey Kuhn and Todd Cerveris join previously announced Annette O'Toole and Jeff McCarthy, with previews to begin October 5, prior to its official press opening October 6 at the CAP21 Black Box Theater (18 West 18th Street) in Manhattan. Thomas Caruso (ZOMBIE, MIMI LE DUCK) directs.

The short film ZOMBIE will be screened on Monday, August 22 at the New York City International Film Festival. The program of shorts is at 11:35 am - 1 pm at the Abingdon Theater, 312 West 36th Street, 2nd floor. ZOMBIE is the last film on that morning's program. Tickets are $5.

Connington penned the play, based on the novella by famous American author Joyce Carol Oates. Urzua will perform the play in Spanish on Friday, May 6th at 8 pm at 353 Studios, 353 West 48th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues, 2nd floor. Urzua translated the play into Spanish, and a production is planned for Mexico City. The performance is an hour long, with an audience discussion to follow. It is free to the public.
