Bill Connington Attends Boston Int'l Film Fest For ZOMBIE April 17

Award-winning actor/writer Bill Connington attended the closing of the Boston International Film Festival, where his short film ZOMBIE was screened on April 17th. The final screening of the festival took place at the AMC/Loews Theater on Boston Common. After the screening, there were closing ceremonies, and awards were given. Then the filmmakers, actors, and production crews attended a gala closing party/dance at the Boston International Film Festivals offices on Boston Common.

Rubbing elbows with Connington at the party were award-winning director/screenwriter Don Marcus (whose film PATRIMONY starred Melissa Errico), PATRIMONY producer Catherine Giarrusso, filmmaker Cara Feinberg (WORKING BLIND), award-winning filmmaker Elana Mugdan (DIRECTOR'S CUT), and filmmaker Charles Wahl (WEBADULTRY).
ZOMBIE is a short film based on the award-winning play penned by and acted in by Connington. The original source material is the award-winning novella ZOMBIE by famous bestselling author Joyce Carol Oates. The film was directed by Thomas Caruso, and produced by Michael Cooper, with an original score by Deirdre Broderick. The film recently won "Best Short Film (Horror)" at the Washington D.C. Independent Film Festival.

ZOMBIE was recently screened at The Cleveland International Film Festival, The Washington D.C. Independent Film Festival, and the NYC Downtown Shorts Film Festival. ZOMBIE tells the story of a mild-mannered "normal-seeming" serial killer, who abducts innocent victims, and attempts to turn them into his "zombie" slaves. The stage play ZOMBIE, adapted from the novella by Bill Connington, was presented at the New York International Fringe Festival, and Off-Broadway at for an extended run. It was also recently performed in Seattle, and a production is planned for Mexico City starring the well-known Mexican actor Jorge Urzua. (www.zombietheplay.com).
