Ford's Theatre Director Paul R. Tetreault announced that acclaimed Washington actor Craig Wallace will return to Ford's to perform the role of Ebenezer Scrooge for the company's holiday production of A Christmas Carol. Performances of the classic Charles Dickens story begin November 15 and continue for a six-and-a-half-week engagement through December 30, 2018. This "musically high-spirited" and "infectiously jolly" (The Washington Post) production is adapted by Michael Wilson and directed by Michael Baron.

In August of 2009, the then-named Alhambra Dinner Theatre was all but shuttered and on the edge of extinction. In came Jacksonville native Craig Smith and his business partners to purchase the nation's longest-running dinner theater and return the community's cultural gem to glory.

Lipuma, presents the World Premiere of Witch, written by Jen Silverman, inspired by The Witch of Edmonton by Rowley, Dekker & Ford. Witch, directed by Marti Lyons, runs September 26 - December 16, 2018 in the Gillian Theatre at 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe. The Press Opening is Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.

Garry Marshall Theatre partners with the newly established ANAM Irish Arts organization to present an exclusive Evening of Music starring Oisin MacDiarmada, Damien Stenson, and Samantha Harvey of Teada, and featuring The Rambling House Band with special guests Brendan Bell and Kira Ott. This intimate concert celebrates the magic of traditional Irish music with some of the most talented contemporary Irish musicians working today-one night only on Sunday, March 25 at 7pm.

Ford's Theatre Society announced full casting and design team for The Wiz directed by Kent Gash, choreographed by Dell Howlett and withMusic Direction and Orchestration by Darius Smith. The production features Ines Nassara as Dorothy, Hasani Allen as Scarecrow, Kevin McAllister as Tinman,Christopher Michael Richardson as Lion and Jobari Parker-Namdar as The Wiz. The musical plays March 9 to May 12, 2018, at historic Ford's Theatre. The production is recommended for ages eight and older.

RSC Artistic Director, Gregory Doran, announces the RSC's winter 2018 season, a nationwide schools' tour and a new 10 ticket offer for first time visitors.

Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly were iconic and game-changing in their era, and still have influence with today's music-makers. The Alhambra Theatre & Dining will kick off its 2018 Alhambra After Dark music series schedule by celebrating Elvis and Buddy Holly. Kevin Mills will return to the Alhambra from February 7 11, 2018 with his award-winning tribute to Elvis in a new show, Elvis is Back! The Rave-Ons, led by one of Alhambra's most popular performers, Todd Meredith, will bring their rendition of Buddy Holly & The Crickets to the Alhambra from March 28 April 1, 2018 in a show entitled, That'll Be the Day. Both shows are concert-style events, and pricing for each show is $65 and includes dinner, performance and parking.

The official Matilda Twitter account introduced us to the new cast members with a video of the girls baking with Craige Els, who will be playing Miss Trunchbull. The girls talk about what superpower they would have, who their inspiration is, their hobbies and more while creating a 'tour cake.'
