The All-Americans present the World Premiere of SCHOOLED, written by Lisa Lewis and directed by James Kautz (Artistic Director of TheAmoralists), as part of The New York International Fringe Festival. SCHOOLED runs from August 15 - 27, 2015 at The Robert Moss Theater (Venue #15), located at 440 Lafayette Street between Astor Place and East 4th St., across the street from The Public Theater in New York City. This is where the new Rhode Island-based theater group Festival51 comes in. Taking their name from the undeniable fact that women make up 51 percent of the population, Festival51 aims to put women playwrights center stage and (literally) change the face of American theater. The brainchild of actress and director Leann Heath and her co-producer actor/director Terry Shea, Festival51, will produce their first annual original play festival focused solely on developing the work of emerging female writers July through August at Mixed Magic Theatre's new venue in the former Lorraine Mills in Pawtucket, RI.

The West Coast Premiere of Ken Ludwig's Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, a new work by one of America's great comic playwrights, familiar to millions for Lend Me a Tenor and Crazy for You, is directed by Josh Rhodes, who previously choreographed the Globe's productions of Bright Star and Working, as well as Broadway's It Shoulda Been You, First Date, and Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, at The Old Globe. Hamilton star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda recently revealed in a Vulture article some of his influences for the musical that has been taking New York City by storm. His inspirations for the new hip-hop musical range from everything from Jay-Z to Les Miz. Now, he just revealed in a recent tweet some of the musical references from songs in the show.
