HAMILTON composer and star Lin-Manuel Miranda and Alexander Hamilton biographer Ron Chernow will be honored on Monday, November 9, 2015, at the New-York Historical Society's 2015 History Makers Gala at Cipriani Wall Street.

The ultimate "Singular Sensation," A Chorus Line, will dance its way onto Playhouse Mainstage this summer, beginning July 24. This groundbreaking Pulitzer Prize-winning musical is for anyone who has ever put it all on the line, whether for a dream, for attention, for approval, or for love. The show follows 17 would-be dancers in their quest to make the cut for a new Broadway musical. It's what they've worked for - with every drop of sweat, every hour of training, every day of their lives - for the chance to do what they've always dreamed of. One by one, they come forward to share the stories of their lives, putting themselves on the line to get a job in the line. When they're done, so is the audition; and only eight will remain. Winner of nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Score and Book, A Chorus Line is a brilliantly complex fusion of dance, song and compellingly authentic drama, filled with dazzling songs like "I Hope I Get It," "At the Ballet," "What I Did for Love" and "One."

Broadway Producers John N. Hart, Jr. and Hal Luftig are hosting this year's summer gala at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater. Players Ball: Caribbean Magic Edition is on Tuesday, July 28 at 5:30 pm.

Bayou Theatre Company continues it's 2014-2015 Season "Finding the Real" with Stew's musical "Passing Strange," exploring themes of acceptance, identity, the importance of family and love, set in various parts of Europe like Amsterdam, and Berlin. Passing Strange is directed by Bayou Theatre Company's Artistic Director Alric Davis with musical direction by Donte Wright, and will be performed at the Frenetic Theatre Thursday - Saturday August 6th - 8th nightly at 7:30 p.m.

It seems to be the biggest upcoming Broadway musical in recent years. Lin-Manuel Miranda's hip-hop musical, HAMILTON begins previews tonight July 13th and has already become the biggest Broadway event of the 2015/16 season. 

The Public Theater presents NAATCO's acclaimed production of AWAKE AND SING! this summer for a limited engagement opening tonight, July 13.

Bridget Everett is taking Comedy Central by the balls in the uncensored world premiere of her one-hour special, 'Bridget Everett: Gynecological Wonder,' airing on Comedy Central tonight, July 11 at 12:30 a.m. ET/PT. For fans that can't wait for Everett's new material, the special will be available on July 6 on CC: Stand-Up Direct.

An alt folk opera written by and starring husband and wife duo Shaun and Abigail Bengson, Hundred Days is the fierce, triumphant story of a young couple who fall in love, only to have their time together cut short by a fatal illness. With the brash intensity of youth, they decide to try and live the 100 days they have left together as though it were the 60 years they had imagined they would have.

The Drama Desk Award-Winning TADA! Youth Theater will present PRINCESS PHOOEY, an original Off-Broadway musical in its first revival, performed by the talented kids from TADA!'s Resident Youth Ensemble, for kids of all ages. Tony Award-winning Broadway musical In The Heights will return to London this year following a critically acclaimed sell-out UK premiere at Southwark Playhouse in 2014. The production will transfer to King's Cross Theatre on 3rd October 2015 and is booking for a strictly limited four week period until 1st November 2015. Amphibian Stage Productions opens its third main stage production of the 2015 season, The QUIXOTIC DAYS AND ERRANT NIGHTS OF THE KNIGHT ERRANT DON QUIXOTE by Brenda Withers, next Today, kicking off a four-week run of the play.

Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announces key casting for three highly anticipated productions of its 48th season. Tony and Academy Award winner Frances McDormand will star in Macbeth, actor Steven Epp will make his seventh Berkeley Rep appearance in Treasure Island, and award-winning actress Kathleen Chalfant will play the lead role in the West Coast premiere of For Peter Pan on her 70th birthday. The Theatre previously announced the casting of award-winning British actress Samantha Barks in the title role in the world premiere of Amélie, A New Musical, set to begin its run in August.

Stella Starsky - acclaimed author, astrologist and performing artist - will celebrate the New York debut of her solo play Birth of the American Baroness at Joe's Pub at the Public Theater on Thursday, July 23 at 7:00 PM.
