New York Theatre Workshop world premiere production of Food and Fadwa, written by Lameece Issaq and Jacob Kader, and directed by Shana Gold, opens officially tonight, June 7 at NYTW. Food and Fadwa is a co-production with Noor Theatre, a company-in-residence at New York Theatre Workshop.

An Evening with AMANDINE, A New Musical, featuring host Craig Lucas and performances by Mike Albo, Justin Bond, Colman Domingo, Michelle Federer and Taylor Mac, is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at The Loft at Judson Memorial Church, located at 55 Washington Square South, NYC. The world premiere of the musical "Los Otros" officially opened last night, June 3 at Center Theatre Group/Mark Taper Forum. According to Deadline.com, stage and screen star Benjamin Walker is currently in talks to star opposite Henry Cavill in Ed Zwick's THE GREAT WALL film. Alexander Skarsgard is also up for the role. The film, as described by Deadline, is about 'British warriors traveling through 15th Century China and happen upon the hurried construction of the massive wall.'

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) kicks off the 10th anniversary of its Uptown Series with the world premiere of The Bad Guys, written by Alena Smith and directed by Hal Brooks. The Bad Guys will feature Michael Braun (War Horse), Roe Hartrampf (Unnatural Acts), James McMenamin (Suicide, Incorporated), Tobias Segal (The Miracle Worker) and Raviv Ullman (Russian Transport).
