TRIASSIC PARQ The Musical, presented by Amas Musical Theatre, is set to play a limited Off-Broadway engagement at the SoHo Playhouse, June 12th through August 5th. Opening night is Wednesday, June 27th. Winner of 2010's Best Musical Award at FringeNYC, TRIASSIC PARQ is written by Marshall Pailet, Bryce Norbitz and Steve Wargo, with direction by Marshall Pailet, choreography by Kyle Mullins and musical direction by Zak Sandler. According to news released by The Hollywood Reporter, Amy Adams is in talks to star in Gilles Paquet-Brenner's film adaptation of the novel Dark Places, written by Gillian Flynn.

SMASH's Brian d'Arcy James (SHREK, NEXT TO NORMAL) and Jennifer Lim (CHINGLISH) recently participated in a staged reading of the Broadway play CHINGLISH at The Greene Space. This particular evening also featured a conversation with Oskar Eustis, Artistic Director of the Public Theater in NYC and readings by David Henry Hwang and additional readers Francis Jue and BD Wong. In this video, James and Lim perform a hilarious excerpt from CHINGLISH.

92YTribeca will present a reading and panel discussion of Handbook for an American Revolutionary, written and performed by actor, playwright, and Puffin Grant recipient Matthew-Lee Erlbach, whose work Rachel Maddow has called "shocking, engaging, funny, and totally original."

Berkeley Repertory Theatre announced the cast and creative team for its world premiere of Eve Ensler's EMOTIONAL CREATURE. This positive and propulsive new show - from the Tony Award-winning playwright, performer, and activist who created The Vagina Monologues - features a choreographer, a composer, four top designers, and an ensemble of talented young women. Directed by Obie Award-winner Jo Bonney, Emotional Creature plays only 36 performances in the Roda Theatre. The limited engagement at Berkeley Rep begins previews on June 14, opens June 22, and runs through July 15. The lead producers of this premiere are Wayne Jordan and Quinn Delaney, Marjorie Randolph, and Jack and Betty Schafer; the executive producer is the Strauch Kulhanjian Family. The development of this production has been supported in part by The Mosse Artistic Development Fund.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) announces 15 awards granted from their National Fund for New Musicals, a major funding program to support NAMT member not-for-profit theatres in their collaborations with writers to create, develop and produce new musicals. Now in its fourth year, the Fund will provide grants totaling $48,000 to 14 organizations across the country.

New York Stage and Film (Johanna Pfaelzer, Artistic Director; Thomas Pearson, Executive Director, Mark Linn-Baker, Max Mayer, Leslie Urdang, Producing Directors) and Vassar College's (Ed Cheetham, Producing Director) Powerhouse Theater have revealed the first casting for their 2012 Powerhouse Season. Chloe Sevigny ("Big Love", Boys Don't Cry, American Psycho) is set to star in Abigail/1702, written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa with direction by David Esbjornson. Abigail/1702 runs from Wednesday, June 27th to Sunday, July 8th.

Broadway's Donna Murphy is listed in the cast of CBS' just-picked-up pilot Made in Jersey (formerly titled Baby Big Shot) starring Janet Montgomery as a working-class woman who will use her street-ways to compete against her colleagues at a posh New York law firm.

TinyRhino is UglyRhino's take on the ten-minute play evening. Each month we commission six short plays each including the same five dramatic elements. On the night of the performance, these elements are revealed to the audience as cues to drink. That's right: we've created a theatrical drinking game. ACME, the American Contemporary Music Ensemble, has announced its June 2012 album release and continues the third of its New York concerts tonight at 8 pm, May 14. The songbook of Grammy Award winners David Hidalgo sand Louie Perez of Los Lobos drives Evangeline, the Queen of Make-Believe, a multimedia play with music by Theresa Chavez, Louie Perez and Rose Portillo that takes its title from the group's 1985 rocker "Evangeline." Chavez and Portillo co-direct the world premiere production for About Productions, opening at the Bootleg Theater tonight, May 12 for a limited, three-week engagement through May 27. Low-priced previews take place May 3-11.

Theatre Communications Group (TCG) today announced the publication of Chinglish, a new comedy by two-time Pulitzer finalist David Henry Hwang (M. Butterfly, Yellow Face).

Deadline.com reports that Alec Baldwin will join forces once again with 'To Rome With Love' director Woody Allen in the upcoming film MAN THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE. Baldwin will join his 'Rock of Ages' co-star Russell Brand in the film from New Line.

Williamstown Theatre Festival Artistic Director Jenny Gersten has announced additional casting for the 2012 Summer Season. A host of Williamstown Theatre Fesival veterans and talented newcomers including Becky Ann Baker, Marylouise Burke, Tyne Daly, Brandon Victor Dixon, Alison Fraser, Heather Lind, Amy Spanger, Jeremy Strong, Lili Taylor and many more, will take the stage during the Festival's 58th Season.

Rumours that The Public Theatre's production of INTO THE WOODS will transfer to Broadway have been fueled once more by The New York Post, which reports that extentions to Donna Murphy, Amy Adams and the rest of the cast's contracts are being negotiated.
