Playwrights Horizons' production THE WHALE, the New York premiere of a new play by Obie Award winner Samuel D. Hunter (A Bright New Boise), is directed by Davis McCallum (February House, A Bright New Boise, the upcoming Water By the Spoonful at Second Stage) and opens tonight, November 5 at 7PM at Playwrights Horizons' Peter Jay Sharp Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the Globe's 15th annual production of Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas! The holiday musical will run on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center, Nov. 17 - Dec. 29. Previews run from Nov. 17 - Nov. 23. Prospect Theater's Revised Version of Stephen Schwartz's WORKING Comes to 59E59 Theaters, 12/1-30

59E59 Theaters has announced the Prospect Theater Company production of WORKING, from the book by Studs Terkel, adapted by Stephen Schwartz and Nina Faso, with additional contributions by Gordon Greenberg. Songs are by Craig Carnelia, Micki Grant, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Mary Rodgers & Susan Birkenhead, Stephen Schwartz, and James Taylor. Directed by Gordon Greenberg, WORKING begins performances on Saturday, December 1 for a limited engagement through Sunday, December 30.

THE LIBRARY PROJECT, a commission by the New Haven Free Public Library Foundation, features the work of over 70 artists, including composer/lyricist Rob Shapiro, composer Chrissy Gardner, playwright Jason Patrick Wells, choreographer Robin Levin and directors Ian and Rachel Alderman.
