1980. The Dublin docklands. Family and friends gather at their local pub after the funeral of their beloved patriarch, a prominent and well-respected docker.
The gathering is timely as they are inadvertently the final patrons of the establishment. The following morning the pub is due for demolition. Caught in the flurry of Ireland's massive social and economic reform, they gather to mourn the passing of a soul, a pub and their entire way of life.

Thirty-five important photographs of Audrey Hepburn from the personal collection of her sons, Sean Hepburn Ferrer and Luca Dotti, will go on rare UK display in the National Portrait Gallery's summer exhibition Audrey Hepburn: Portraits of an Icon, it was announced today. This major photography exhibition, which will explore the life and career of the celebrated film star, is the first British exhibition to be organised with support from the Audrey Hepburn Estate.

The fascinating life and career of celebrated film star, fashion icon and humanitarian, Audrey Hepburn, will be explored in a new photography exhibition opening at the National Portrait Gallery in July 2015, it was announced today (Tuesday 2 December 2014). Coinciding with the 65th anniversary of Hepburn's little known career-changing performance at renowned West End night club Ciro's, in the space now occupied by the Gallery's public Archive, the exhibition will bring together a remarkable selection of both classic and rarely seen photographs of the successful British actress.

The National Portrait Gallery, London, has unveiled its most recent commissioned portrait, a painting of Tony Blair by artist Alastair Adams, President of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, it was announced today, Friday 20 December 2013. The commission is in keeping with the National Portrait Gallery's wish to acquire portraits of all former British Prime Ministers.
