The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago celebrates its 22nd Broadway anniversary tomorrow, Wednesday, November 14th. Celebrate 22 years of razzle dazzle with these fun Chicago facts!

Chicago is in currently at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit. The razzle dazzle of the late 1920s is captivating audiences telling the story of Roxie Hart, housewife and nightclub dancer, who maliciously murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she tricks the public, the media, and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer, Billy Flynn, to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines. The Tony Award-winning, record-breaking hit musical Chicago will welcome YouTube sensation and Broadway star Todrick Hall in the role of "Billy Flynn" for one week only, October 16-21 at Detroit's Fisher Theatre.

CHICAGO, the longest-running American musical on Broadway, makes its long-awaited debut at the Moonlight Amphitheatre September 12 - 29 at 7:30 p.m. Two CHICAGO vets closely associated with the Broadway production bring extra spark to The Moonlight. Terra C. MacLeod, currently starring in the Broadway production of CHICAGO as Velma, takes on the role of Roxie at The Moonlight. Roxane Carrasco, playing Velma at The Moonlight, has played the same starring role in the Broadway production. Fellow Broadway vet David Engel returns to The Moonlight stage as Billy Flynn. MacLeod is also co-directing the Moonlight production alongside James Vasquez. Corey Wright, recently appearing in the Broadway national tour production of CHICAGO, choreographs while JD Dumas is musical director and Kenneth Gammie is conductor. Academy Award winner and Emmy nominee Cuba Gooding Jr. will step into the role of Billy Flynn, beginning Saturday, October 6, 2018 through Sunday, November 18, 2018, at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre (219 W. 49th St.).

Broadway is back in the park! The Washington Pavilion was filled with razzle and dazzle Tuesday night as CHICAGO made its latest tour stop in Sioux Falls as part of its 20th anniversary tour.

Monday night's performance of Chicago the Musical began with a promise of murder, greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery, and a little treachery, a promise it delivered upon in spades. The musical's national tour stopped at Thalia Mara Hall in Jackson, Mississippi as a part of the Broadway in Jackson series presented by Trustmark. The tour itself is presented by Barry & Fran Weissler.

John Kander and Fred Ebb's murderess musical Chicago is back in town at the Kennedy Center's Opera House. The score is still as good as it ever was, but overall this current tour is missing some of the spark it needs to be totally satisfying.
