Hailed as 'the greatest white female singer in the world' by Ella Fitzgerald, legendary vocalist Marilyn Maye will perform a special one-night-only engagement at The Iridium on July 10. 'Maye Takes Five,' presented by The Iridium and ScoBar Entertainment, will feature her trio (pianist/musical director Tedd Firth, bassist Tom Hubbard and drummer Ray Marchica) plus special guests including renowned clarinetist Ken Peplowski and noted trumpet man Brian Pareschi. Sets are at 8 & 10pm.

The Eugene O'Neill Theater Center has announced its final schedule of performances for the 2013 Cabaret & Performance Conference. Beginning July 31, the ten-day conference will feature performances nightly, with the Grand Finale on Saturday evening, August 11.

Artists in Partnership (AIP), a non-profit cultural arts organization, will host its 11th Annual Cabaret Festival May 17-19 at the Long Beach Public Library, 111 West Park Avenue, Long Beach, NY. All performances are FREE to the public. The festival will be a celebration of the cabaret genre honoring the Great American Songbook with performances by renowned local and New York City-based artists.

Singer Ann Hampton Callaway called it 'Musical Church,' and deemed host Jim Caruso the 'Irreverent Reverend!' Monday night's Cast Party was the be-all and end-all of extreme open-mic madness, with impromptu performances by some of the best and brightest on the Broadway, jazz, cabaret and concert scenes. Callaway led a blues vocal quintet, along with headliner Lorna Luft, Broadway leading lady Carrie Manolakos, Birdland's William Blake and Manilow-co-star Muffy Hendrix. Jim Caruso's Cast Party continues to dazzle packed houses of showbiz insiders and the folks who love them every Monday night at the historic music room, Birdland. This past week, Carol Woods, currently Mama Morton in Chicago on Broadway, delighted the audience with a soulful performance of 'God Bless The Child,' and her co-workers, Amra-Faye Wright (Velma Kelly) and Patrick Rinn led the applause.
