Jim Caruso's Cast Party continues to dazzle packed houses of showbiz insiders and the folks who love them every Monday night at the historic music room, Birdland. This past week, Carol Woods, currently Mama Morton in Chicago on Broadway, delighted the audience with a soulful performance of "God Bless The Child," and her co-workers, Amra-Faye Wright (Velma Kelly) and Patrick Rinn led the applause. Scroll below for photos from the concert! The Company Men, a slick vocal quartet from California, charmed the house with one of their famous mashups, Leslie Spencer, a singer with the Brian Setzer Orchestra, sang a swinging ditty, actor David Rasche performed a new and original Cast Party theme song, and Australian star Matthew Newton crooned an impromptu jazz standard. Colleen McHugh and William Blake brought disco back with a hilarious "Enough Is Enough," and Vegas performer Dre rocked the crowd's socks off. There were great performances by cabaret darling Jenna Esposito and Baby, It's You star Liz Byrne, and the musical fun went on into the wee hours. As they have for the past ten years, Tedd Firth, Steve Doyle and Daniel Glass (The Cast Party Symphony Orchestra) accompanied all of the singers in high style.
