Playwrights Horizons has announced casting for THE QUALMS, the New York premiere of a new play by Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Bruce Norris (Clybourne Park and The Pain and the Itch at PH, Domesticated).  Directed by Tony and Obie Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Clybourne Park and Completeness at PH; Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?; this season's A Delicate Balance and the current The Heidi Chronicles), the play is the final production of the theater company's 2014/2015 Season.

The Road Theatre Company and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, are thrilled to announce that the third show of its 2014-2015 season, the critically-acclaimed, West Coast Premiere of THE ENGLISH BRIDE, written by Lucile Lichtblau and directed by Marya Mazor, which is running in repertory with The Other Place is extending through Sunday, May 10 at the Road Theatre Company's second home, the Road on Magnolia, located in The NoHo Senior Arts Colony, 10747 Magnolia Blvd. in North Hollywood.

Artistic Director Les Waters and Managing Director Jennifer Bielstein are delighted to announce that Sarah Ruhl's For Peter Pan on her 70th birthday will receive its world premiere at Actors Theatre of Louisville during the 40th Humana Festival of New American Plays. For Peter Pan on her 70th birthday was commissioned by Actors Theatre of Louisville and will be directed by Les Waters and performed in the Pamela Brown Auditorium. The production will begin previews on March 8, open on March 10 and run through April 10, 2016.

SHINING LIVES World Premiere Musical to Open This May at Northlight

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, presents the world premiere of Shining Lives: A Musical. Directed by Jessica Thebus and developed through Northlight's Interplay Series, the musical is adapted from the Northlight-commissioned play These Shining Lives. The production will run at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie, from May 8 - June 14, 2015. Shining Lives: A Musical opens May 15 and 16, 2015.

Five plays by Steven Carl McCasland will be presented in repertory during a month-long celebration of the young playwright. Each play focuses on a different character from history, with a cast of 25 portraying such historical figures as Laurette Taylor, Rose Kennedy, Tennessee Williams, Agatha Christie, Joseph Goebbels, Gertrude Stein, Lillian Hellman and John F. Written by Pulitzer finalist Amy Herzog (4,000 Miles), and directed by Chance Theater Founding Artistic Director Oanh Nguyen. After The Revolution will preview from April 10 through April 17, regular performances will begin April 18 and continue through May 10 on the Main Stage at Chance Theater @ Bette Aitken theater arts Center.

Repertory Theatre of St. Louis Commissions Play About Ferguson

The Rep is commissioning Dael Orlandersmith to compose and perform a solo performance about Ferguson, Missouri. Orlandersmith is in the very early stages of writing the work now. Currently untitled, the play will tell the story of an 85-year old woman who has lived her entire life in Ferguson, Missouri, witnessing the various physical, demographic and social changes, culminating with the recent events that have made the town the subject of a national conversation.
