The Road Theatre Company and Taylor Gilbert, Founder/Artistic Director together with Sam Anderson, Artistic Director, are thrilled to announce the first show of its 2015-2016 - 25th Anniversary Season, the World Premiere of HOMEFREE, written by Lisa Loomer and directed by Ovation Award-winner Michael Matthews. HOMEFREE will open on Friday, September 18 at 8pm and run through Sunday, November 8th at the Road Theatre Company's second home, the Road on Magnolia, located in The NoHo Senior Arts Colony, 10747 Magnolia Blvd. in North Hollywood.

  Centenary Stage Company brings a diversely eclectic and exciting array of productions to the Lackland Center for their 2015-16 season.  Now in their 6th season at the David and Carol Lackland Center, CSC is offering award winning plays, cutting edge dramas, family favorites and new developmental works sure to satisfy even the most discerning of audiences.  From young to old, experienced theater goer to never having stepped foot in a theater before, there's something for everyone at CSC this season.

In response to popular demand, Soho Rep., in association with John Adrian Selzer, extends the world premiere of 10 out of 12 by Anne Washburn (Mr. Burns) to July 5. The production, which opens on June 10, reunites the playwright with the Obie Award-winning director Les Waters, Artistic Director at Actors Theatre of Louisville. In 10 out of 12, a company of theatre artists is engaged in the very peculiar-and uniquely impossible-task of making a new play. Based on notes Washburn took during her past technical rehearsals, this Soho Rep. commission is a wry and absorbing look at how work forms us and deforms us.

San Francisco Playhouse (Artistic Director Bill English and Producing Director Susi Damilano) announced its final selection for the previously-announced 2015-2016 Mainstage season: Jennifer Haley's mind-blowing exploration of second-life morality and virtual criminality, The Nether.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of an exciting new American play, Rich Girl, by acclaimed playwright Victoria Stewart, continuing the Globe's 80th Anniversary festivities as part of the Balboa Park Centennial Celebration. Rich Girl will be directed by James Vasquez (Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas!, Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show), and will play May 23 - June 21, 2015, in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

The Hole in the Wall Theater (HITW) in New Britain, CT is proud to announce the fifth production of its 2014-2015 season, The Crucible, by Arthur Miller. Performances run Todays & Saturdays from tonight, May 15-June 6, 2015 with one Sunday matinee on May 24th at HITW on 116 Main Street in New Britain, CT. Directed by Jessica Thebus and developed through Northlight's Interplay Series, the musical is adapted from the Northlight-commissioned play These Shining Lives. The production will run at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie, from May 8 - June 14, 2015. Shining Lives: A Musical opens tonight, May 15 and 16, 2015.

San Francisco-based playwright Lauren Gunderson will lead a talkback with the audience following the 8 p.m. performance of I and You tonight, May 14 at the Fountain Theatre.

ROSS VALLEY PLAYERS will present Sarah Ruhl's The Clean House for audiences with the artistic talent of Director JoAnne Winter, and Set Designer David Shirk. The Ensemble Studio Theatre Marathon of One-Act Plays, the original festival of its kind, returns for its 35th incarnation, tonight, May 13, at 7:00pm at the Ensemble Studio Theatre, 549 West 52nd Street. 

The world premiere of South African playwright Jessica Sian's Klippies comes to Southwark Playhouse in May, presented by Rive Productions and directed by Chelsea Walker with designs by Holly Pigott. The production runs tonight 13 May - Saturday 6 June 2015. Press night: Monday, 18 May 2015 at 8pm.

The Contemporary American Theater Festival at Shepherd University has announced its newest quintet of plays to be presented this summer in rotating repertory. Ed Herendeen, the founder and producing director of the Theater Festival, has selected from the sea of scripts, five new plays from five celebrated playwrights: Johnna Adams, Sheila Callaghan, Steven Dietz, Barbara Hammond, and Michael Weller.

Aurora Theatre Company closes its 23rd season with the Bay Area Premiere of Lisa D'Amour's (Anna Bella Eema, Airline Highway) wicked Obie-winning satire about our uncertain economic times, DETROIT. Josh Costello (Wittenberg) directs this explosive dark comedy, featuring Amy Resnick (Body Awareness, Collapse), Jeff Garrett, Luisa Frasconi, and Patrick Kelly Jones (Metamorphosis), that brilliantly captures our current economic moment.
