California Repertory Company presents its annual Design Expo, an afternoon of presentations of the work of MFA Lighting, Scenic, and Costume Designers, at 4pm on Tuesday, May 7 in the Studio Theatre at CSULB. This season, graduate student designers at Cal Rep have created designs for nine main stage Cal Rep and University Players productions, including three new works developed at CSULB, which will be on display for fellow students, faculty, and members of the Long Beach theater community.

Origin's US Premiere of STOP THE TEMPO Opens 6/2

Origin Theatre Company, artistic director George C. Heslin, presents the US premiere of "Stop the Tempo" by Romanian playwright Gianina Carbinariu, in a theatrically explosive site-specific staging at Arlene's Grocery, 95 Stanton Street, beginning Sunday May 26 at 4pm. Directed by Matt Torney, whose New York credits include shows at HERE, and at 59E59, "Stop the Tempo" plays a limited 4-week engagement through Tuesday June 18. The opening is set for Sunday June 2 at 7pm.

Downtown artist Tommy Smith's WHITE HOT had its New York Premiere at The Flea Theater in April. Now, The Vagrancy is honored to bring you the raw, intimate and emotionally-invasive Los Angeles Premiere helmed by Director Caitlin Hart at the Hollywood Fringe Festival 2013. This dark, psychological thriller is encased in a tight love triangle between a troubled woman, her sexy sister and opportunistic husband. The play opens at Theatre Asylum Lab and plays June 7th-June 28th.

Moonbox Productions has announced its 2013-2014 Season - Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest, to be performed at the BCA Plaza Theatre from November 22 - December 14, and Stephen Sondheim's Company, to be performed at the Roberts Studio Theatre at the Calderwood Pavilion from February 7 - March 1, 2014.
