Prospect Theater Company presents its 2014 annual gala, New York In June, in the Harbor View Room at Battery Gardens, a beautiful and unique waterside location nestled at the southernmost corner of Battery Park. This special one-night-only event will be held on Monday, June 30 with an 8pm concert performance featuring Broadway and Prospect stars. The evening's program will include songs from Prospect's 15 years developing and producing new musical theater by emerging artists, as well as sneak peak performances from upcoming shows, and original songs by Prospect founding member Peter Mills. Proceeds from the evening will benefit Prospect's ongoing mission to develop and produce new American musical theater works.

Classic Stage Company just posted an Equity audition notice hunting for actor-musicians to star in ALLEGRO, directed by John Doyle with musical direction by Mary Mitchell Campbell. According to the listing, the production is slated to begin rehearsals in September for a first preview on November 1, 2014.

TriArts Sharon Playhouse, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Simpkins and Managing Director Justin Ball, has announced initial casting for its 25th Anniversary Season with the musicals LES MISERABLES, Falsettos, and Disney's The Little Mermaidon the Mainstage. Mitch Albom's Tuesdays with Morrie and the new musical Nine Wives (by Douglas J. Cohen and Dan Elish) will play Stage 2 in the Bok Gallery. The Youth Theatre will present the Tony-winning Spring Awakening.

According to the Daily Mail, Rosalie Craig and Hadley Fraser, who are engaged in real life, will be playing the lead couple in CITY OF ANGELS, directed by Josie Rourke at the Donmar Warehouse this fall. Performances begin October 4, 2014.

The New Group presents the New York premiere of Annapurna by Sharr White, directed by Bart DeLorenzo and featuringMegan Mullally and Nick Offerman, in a limited Off-Broadway engagement through June 1. The Old Globe is currently presenting The Last Goodbye, a new musical fusing Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet with the incendiary songs of the legendary singer-songwriter Jeff Buckley. Conceived and adapted by Michael Kimmel and directed by two-time Tony Award nominee Alex Timbers , the rock musical might be eventually heading to Broadway.
