Fans won't have to travel back to the 18th century to see the stars of the popular drama series "Outlander"-just to the Big Easy-as Wizard World kicks off its 2019 schedule with a gathering of Richard Rankin ("Roger Wakefield"), Sophie Skelton ("Brianna Randall Fraser") and Graham McTavish ("Dougal MacKenzie"), as well as the best-selling author Diana Gabaldon at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. They are the first celebrities announced as Wizard World, Inc. (OTCBB: WIZD) opens its 2019 calendar with its ninth trip to New Orleans for the comic convention and pop culture extravaganza, January 4-6.

Sony Pictures Animation and Nelvana have announced the second-season renewal of the hit animated comedy Hotel Transylvania: The Series. Disney Channel in the U.S. and their global territories, and TELETOON Canada, a network owned by Nelvana parent company Corus Entertainment, are set to broadcast the new episodes.  

Today, Freeform, Disney's young adult cable network, announced the pilot order for “Party of Five” from Sony Pictures Television, which will be a modern reimagining of the groundbreaking original series. Christopher Keyser and Amy Lippman wrote the pilot with Michal Zebede (“Castle”) and Rodrigo Garcia (“Nine Lives”) is set to direct. Keyser, Lippman and Garcia will executive produce and Zebede serves as co-executive producer.

David Tennant, who starred as the 'Tenth Doctor' on the long-running series 'Doctor Who,' has been added to the celebrity roster at this month's Wizard World Austin convention at the Austin Convention Center. The Actors' Gang will begin performances for the 2018 Free Shakespeare in the Park for Families production of Much Ado About Avengers beginning Saturday, August 4th, continuing a 12-year tradition of free theater in Media Park. Based on William Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" and inspired by the characters of Marvel's The Avengers, this 45 minute, all?ages production will run every Saturday and Sunday of August at 11am, through August 26th.
