The Broadway community will come together on Monday, May 14 at NYC's Stage 48 for Heels on Wheels, A Homecoming Celebration to Benefit Jerad Bortz and Steven Skeels, to support Wicked's Bortz and husband Skeels following a tragic car accident in early February.

The Trevor Project today announced that Emmy Award-winning screenwriter, producer, and actor Lena Waithe; Writers Guild of America Award, Directors Guild of America Award, and Golden Globe Award-nominated writer, director, and producer Greg Berlanti; and Managing Partner of global consulting firm McKinsey & Company Dominic Barton will all be honored at The Trevor Project's TrevorLIVE New York gala for their commitment to supporting The Trevor Project's mission to provide crisis intervention services and end suicide among gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning young people. TrevorLIVE New York, the organization's annual star-studded signature fundraiser billed as "an irreverent evening of music and comedy," will be held on Monday, June 11 at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

Parsons Dance - under the Artistic Direction of David Parsons - is excited to announce that its annual gala will take place on Tuesday, May 15, 2018, as part of the company's recently announced two-week return engagement to New York City's Joyce Theater. This year's gala, honoring legendary Broadway composer and multiple award-winner Stephen Schwartz, will feature two pieces specially created for the evening, in addition to the previously announced Joyce Theater programing.

According to Entertainment Tonight, the long-anticipated Broadway premiere of Beaches the Musical will have to wait until after a London run. Iris Rainer Dart, who wrote the novel on which the musical is based told ET: 'We're just listening, refining, redoing and seeing which songs work and which ones don't.'

In celebration of Women's History and Music in Our Schools Month, Education Through Music-Los Angeles held its 4 thAnnual Music & A Makeover, bringing together local, female-led fashion brands, live music and food & wine tastings to empower women and raise funds for in-school music programs for disadvantaged schools across Los Angeles County.

Spectrum, Bean's fourth studio album which was released on February 9, is a fresh new take on the classic tradition of big band with arrangements by Grammy award-nominated arranger Alan Ferber.

Broadway fave and former Elphaba, Shoshana Bean, has just dropped her cover of the Oscar-nominated anthem, This Is Me, from the musical The Greatest Showman. All proceeds of the song will go to benefit the LA LGBT Center. You can find the song on Spotify and other music streaming platforms. 

On Saturday, February 24, Shoshana Bean will perform her album release show - Spectrum - at Ace Theater Downtown Los Angeles. Spectrum, Bean's fourth studio album which will be released on February 9, is a fresh new take on the classic tradition of big band with arrangements by Grammy award-nominated arranger Alan Ferber. This concert will feature Bean along with an 18 piece big band performing a carefully-selected collection of standards, classics and modern favorites, while still including a few Bean-penned gems. Bean made her Broadway debut in the original cast of Hairspray before taking over for Idina Menzel as Elphaba in Wicked and has performed all over the world with artists such as Ariana Grande, Brian McKnight, Postmodern Jukebox (PMJ), David Foster and Michael Jackson.
