Today, Savannah VOICE Festival (SVF) introduces a brand- new initiative, VOICE-a-Grams, a virtual greeting card for people to send to their loved ones. These personalized musical greetings are crafted by Savannah VOICE Festival singers with a special message by the Maestro, Sherrill Milnes. All proceeds raised from this initiative will benefit SVF's educational and outreach programs.

VOICExperience Announces Postponement Of NY Program Due To Coronavirus Threat

In response to health concerns and changing travel conditions due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) threat, VOICExperience has made the difficult decision to postpone the March 15-22, 2020 New York Opera as Drama program of events. This week-long program of events, which would have concluded with the fifth annual Voice Gala on March 23 at the Harmonie Club, will be rescheduled for the first half of November 2020.

The fifth annual VOICE Gala is slated for March 23, 2020 in a regal culmination of the weeklong program of VOICExperience's Opera As Drama program. This annual gala, which supports scholarships for the Milnes VOICE Programs, will take place at the Harmonie Club, one of New York City's oldest, private social clubs, located at 4 East 60th Street in Manhattan.

Botox isn't just for beauty! Witness an unforgettable performance by legendary pianist a?" and medical miracle a?" Leon Fleisher alongside the Maryland Lyric Opera (MDLO) Orchestra in its debut symphonic performance on Nov. 12, 2019, 7:30 pm at The Music Center at Strathmore. Conducted by MDLO Music Director Louis Salemno, the Kennedy Center Honoree and Oscar-nominated Fleisher will join the MDLO in a performance of Mozart's Piano Concerto No 12. Salemno will also lead the MDLO in performances of Mozart's iconic Overture from Le Nozze de Figaro; Debussy's Preludes a l'apres-midi d'un faune; and Sibelius' Symphony No. 2 in D Major, Op. 43. Fleisher made his public debut with the New York Philharmonic at just 16 years old. By age 36, Fleisher's right hand was barely mobile, and he was diagnosed with focal dystonia, a devastating neurological condition that caused involuntary muscular contractions. The diagnosis left Fleisher in despair only temporarily; after a few years, he turned to teaching, conducting, and left-handed piano performances. After nearly four decades, aided by Botox injections in his right hand, Fleisher returned to the stage as a two-handed piano soloist officially in 2005, performing 40 concerts in 31 cities.
